X-Ray Associates of New Mexico was the first in the state of New Mexico to have dedicated, comprehensive imaging services for women. We were the first American College of Radiology accredited mammography program, the first Breast Imaging Center with computer aided detection in the 1990’s, and the first to offer Breast MRI services in 2000. We are fully accredited by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the American College of Radiology. Most importantly we were the first radiology group in New Mexico to have a dedicated team of breast radiologists with special expertise and interest in Women's Imaging. We feel that specialized mammographers rather than a general radiologist should be interpreting mammograms, ultrasound, and breast MRI. We deliver diagnostic excellence in the early detection of breast cancer and other areas of gynecologic and obstetric imaging. Our team of board certified Radiologists and staff provide a warm and caring environment for our patients.

Description of Services
Radiologists with expertise in Breast Imaging and Intervention are specialists in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. They provide expert interpretation in mammography, as well as ultrasound and MRI of the breast. Many also have extensive experience in image-guided biopsy procedures, with an emphasis on both patient safety and comfort.
