Dr. Kari Nelson graduated from the University of California, Berkeley. She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville. Dr. Nelson completed a Vascular/Interventional Radiology Fellowship at the University of California, San Diego. Following fellowship, Dr. Nelson was hired as an Assistant Professor of Radiology at U.C. San Diego, subspecializing in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. She is a reviewer for the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, and a member of the American College of Radiology, the American Association for Women Radiologists and the Society of Interventional Radiologist. Dr. Nelson is certified by the American Board of Radiology, with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology.
