Ruth “Tutti” Gilbert AS RT(R) (M) CDT has been a Radiologic Technologist for 36 years. She has specialized in Mammography for 18 years and is experienced in screening and diagnostic procedures including, biopsies, scintimammography, lymphoscintigraphy, ductograms and pre-surgical wire localizations. She is also a Certified (bone) Densitometry Tech and a MammaCare Breast Self Exam Instructor
As a Breast Imaging Navigator she utilizes her skills and experience to enhance the quality and continuity of care for our patients. She is available to:
- Explain diagnostic procedures
- Lend support during procedures
- Provide educational material for a variety of breast health issues
- Help patients understand Radiologists recommendations for future imaging and/or follow-up
- Provide initial support and education to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients, assisting them is accessing appointments,support services and resources including insurance and financial issues.
- Offer instruction in Breast Self Exam.
